A view of the dash. On the left showing teh glow indicator - "pepperpot" and below that the glow and start knob - pull half way out to glow and then the rest of the way out to engage the starter. The electric starter motor rocks then engine just as you would do manually on the larger hot bulb Lanz tractors.
