Me on the Harley about to leave for Dover

Itiniary was:

Day 1 - Leave for Dover. Stay at a campsite near Dover. 180 miles. I'd hired a bike sat nav so I didn't have to worry about directions.

Day 2 - Ferry at 9:30 - Brekky at Mc D's on the way down to the port. Drive to Friends village around 300 miles. Arrived around 7pm. Evening and night with Mein Host.

Day 3 - Day around the Village and out with German friends. Went to Nurburgring circuit about 20 km from Firends house for a look see. Evening with mein host again. Washed bike. Took friend out on bike round village! Tour of frineds house and Sheds and Major collection of tractors, engines, clog making machines (!), steam engine etc etc. Loaded and got ready for the show.

Day 4 - Early start in VW mini van towing trailer with tractor and tree (yes - TREE) on board. 2 hour drive to HMT Show in Netherlands. Day and evning at show. Stayed in tent again. Beer aided restful sleep.

Day 5 - At show. Load and back to Friends house. Evening and night with mein host.

Day 6 - 9 am start back to Calais. Worst rain I've ever seen for the last 80 miles before Calais and had to keep the speed up to keep visor clear. Ferry and onwards to home. Got home around 9pm. Total mileage around 1200. MPG on Harley around 48mpg.
